Accountant

Job Description

Jhulay Lal Rice Mill is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in accounting and possess strong skills in managing the general ledger, performing bank reconciliations, and coordinating audits. The role requires proficiency in QuickBooks and the ability to accurately track financial transactions to support the companys financial health. The Accountant will work independently and does not have team management responsibilities but will collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities
 

• Maintain and update the general ledger by recording all financial transactions accurately and promptly.
• Perform regular account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data and correct discrepancies.
• Coordinate and support external and internal audit processes by providing required documentation and information.
• Manage bank reconciliation processes to ensure all bank statements match the companys financial records.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial activities in QuickBooks accounting software.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing detailed financial data.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to maintain accurate cash flow records.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and resolve accounting issues.
