Job Title: Container Yard Coordinator

Location: Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 14, Karachi, Pakistan

Shift: Evening

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Container Yard Coordinator to manage and monitor all container gate-in and gate-out activities at our depot/yard. The role involves accurate documentation, container inspection, and smooth coordination of container movements while ensuring compliance with operational and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and control inbound and outbound container movements.

Verify container numbers, seal numbers, and booking details.

Record container entry and exit times accurately.

Conduct visual inspections of containers for damages or issues.

Prepare and issue Equipment Interchange Receipts (EIR) and maintain container condition reports.

Prepare invoices related to container handling and shipments.

Update system records for all container movements.

Coordinate daily container movements with operations teams.

Liaise with transport companies and drivers, and communicate delays or discrepancies promptly.

Ensure compliance with safety and security regulations.

Monitor container dwell time and report long-standing units.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience in container depot, yard, or logistics operations.

Knowledge of container types (20GP, 40GP, 40HC, Reefer).

Familiarity with EIR documentation and container inspection process.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel is highly preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Good communication and coordination abilities.
