Managing Director (MD)

The Managing Director at Al Reyan Group provides visionary strategic leadership and comprehensive oversight to an extensive organization comprising a team of 400 individuals. This role mandates aligning all company initiatives and operations with the overarching vision established by the Chairman and the Board of Directors. The Managing Director drives sustainable growth, profitability, and operational excellence by designing and implementing long-term corporate strategies, guiding senior leadership teams, and ensuring effective stakeholder relationships across various business sectors. In this leadership position, the Managing Director leads all facets of corporate governance, compliance, and risk management, and plays a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities and strategic partnerships locally and internationally. The role demands robust communication and negotiation capabilities, exceptional project and change management expertise, and the capacity to mentor and develop executive management teams to meet or exceed corporate objectives. This position requires a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in senior leadership roles, including at least 15 years as a Managing Director or its equivalent, demonstrating a proven track record of driving organizational growth within complex and diversified business environments.
Responsibilities
 

• Provide overall strategic leadership and define the direction of the company to align with the Chairman and Board of Directors vision.
• Develop, implement, and monitor long-term strategic plans to ensure sustainable growth, increased profitability, and operational excellence across all business units.
• Oversee all operational functions and corporate activities, ensuring harmonized efforts across various departments and senior leadership teams.
• Drive organizational performance by setting clear objectives, evaluating progress, and ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to achieve business goals.
• Establish and maintain robust relationships with stakeholders, including partners, investors, government agencies, and regulatory bodies to foster cooperation and support for company initiatives.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports on strategic, financial, and operational matters regularly to the Chairman and the Board to inform decision-making.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and investment prospects to expand the companys market presence and capabilities both locally and globally.
• Ensure strict adherence to corporate governance standards, compliance regulations, and risk management frameworks to uphold the companys integrity and safeguard its assets.
• Lead, motivate, and mentor the executive management team, fostering a high-performance culture and enabling professional growth aligned with company objectives.
• Champion change management initiatives to facilitate business transformation and adapt to evolving industry conditions and market demands.
• Implement project management practices that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of key initiatives across the organization.
• Utilize balanced scorecard and other performance measurement tools to drive continuous improvement and strategic alignment throughout the enterprise.
• Negotiate major contracts, partnerships, and agreements that support the companys strategic priorities and growth ambitions.
• Promote ethical leadership and corporate social responsibility in all business dealings and organizational activities.
