EFU Life Assurance Ltd. seeks a skilled finance professional to join its team through the ACCA - Virtual Job Fair initiative. The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, taxation, audit and assurance, and is adept at applying international accounting standards such as IFRS or IAS. This role demands expertise in budgeting and forecasting, risk management, and financial analysis to support the companys financial integrity and strategic growth. The professional will work closely within the organization to ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and frameworks, enhancing the accuracy and transparency of financial data. This position involves managing a team of three persons, requiring leadership skills to guide and mentor team members effectively. The candidate must demonstrate a deep understanding of risk assessment practices, including quantitative risk analysis and the ISO 31000 framework, to identify potential risks and develop strategies that safeguard company assets. Additionally, proficiency in SAP financial reporting and internal auditing is essential, as these tools support the company's operational and compliance functions. Responsibilities
 

  • Lead and manage a team of three finance professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations to achieve departmental goals.
  • Prepare and analyze accurate financial reports in compliance with ACCA standards, IFRS, IAS, and other applicable regulations.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by staying abreast of changes in accounting and financial reporting standards and implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Conduct comprehensive audits and assurance activities to maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
  • Develop and manage budgeting and forecasting processes to support the companys financial planning and decision-making.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement or cost savings.
  • Apply advanced risk management techniques, including quantitative risk analysis and the ISO 31000 framework, to assess and mitigate financial risks.
  • Oversee internal audits to evaluate control systems and support the implementation of best practices in financial operations.
  • Utilize SAP financial reporting tools to generate timely and precise financial data for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that inform strategic business initiatives.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of tax regulations, ensuring accurate tax reporting and compliance to minimize risks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting processes, audit quality, and risk management frameworks.
