The Professor of Pharmacology at Riphah International University plays a pivotal role in advancing the educational and research missions of the Department of Pharmacology. Responsibilities
 

  • Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Pharmacology using innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement and outcomes.
  • Develop, review, and update course materials and curricula to meet educational and regulatory standards.
  • Assess student performance through examinations, assignments, practical evaluations, and oral examinations.
  • Provide mentorship and academic advising to students, fostering their research skills and professional development.
  • Conduct original, high-quality research in pharmacology and related biomedical sciences, aiming to contribute to scientific knowledge and practice.
  • Publish research findings widely in reputable, peer-reviewed journals to advance the field and raise the universitys academic profile.
  • Secure external research grants and funding to support ongoing and new research projects.
  • Supervise postgraduate scholars including MPhil, MS, and PhD candidates, providing academic and research guidance to ensure successful completion of their degrees.
  • Present research results at national and international conferences to share knowledge and foster collaborations.
  • Lead curriculum development initiatives and accreditation processes to ensure academic programs meet the highest quality standards.
  • Mentor junior faculty members in teaching methods, research activities, and career development to strengthen departmental capabilities.
  • Promote interdisciplinary projects and collaborations that integrate pharmacology with other scientific disciplines.
  • Incorporate up-to-date clinical pharmacology knowledge into teaching and research to maintain relevance and practical application.
  • Engage in continuing medical education and professional development activities to stay current with advances in pharmacology.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, and research institutions to enhance educational and research opportunities.
  • Contribute to university committees and participate in accreditation, quality assurance, and academic audits to support institutional governance.
  • Assist in academic planning, budgeting, and policy-making efforts within the department.
  • Support administrative functions related to student admissions, examinations, and academic advising.
  • Lead and participate in community outreach initiatives aimed at health awareness and public education in pharmacology.
  • Represent the university at academic, professional, and public forums to promote the institutions mission and programs.
  • Fulfill additional academic and administrative duties as assigned by department leadership and university management.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations set by the Higher Education Commission and other relevant bodies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in teaching, research, and service activities with a commitment to academic integrity and professionalism.
