Job Description

You will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, overseeing accounting processes, and ensuring financial accuracy. This role involves supervising accounting staff, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and financial regulations.
  • Manage bank reconciliations and monitor company expenses.

2. Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure timely filing of tax returns (GST, TDS, corporate taxes, etc.).
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain compliance with local and international financial regulations.

3. Team Supervision & Coordination

  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Assign tasks and monitor team performance.
  • Conduct periodic training for staff on financial policies and procedures.

4. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
  • Implement cost-control measures to improve financial efficiency.
  • Provide financial insights to support business strategies.

5. Accounts Receivable & Payable Management

  • Ensure timely invoicing and collection of payments.
  • Monitor vendor payments and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain relationships with banks, clients, and vendors.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in corporate finance, auditing, or taxation.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific financial regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
