Job Description

ASTO Life Sciences is seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Manager to lead a team of three professionals in driving the sales and business development initiatives for the IV cannula product portfolio. This role requires a strategic thinker with at least four years of experience in medical device sales, preferably with a background in IV cannula, infusion therapy, surgical disposables, or hospital consumables. The Sales Manager plays a crucial role in achieving monthly and annual sales targets by identifying new business opportunities within hospitals, surgical centers, and clinics. They will spearhead customer relationship management, lead tendering processes, and collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to promote products effectively and ensure customer satisfaction and retention. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biomedical, Business, or Marketing with healthcare experience and demonstrates strong capabilities in market intelligence and competitive analysis. This position demands excellent communication and leadership skills to manage the sales team and coordinate with procurement departments, nursing staff, and critical care units to expand market presence. The Sales Manager at ASTO Life Sciences will also be responsible for preparing and submitting tender documents, developing pricing strategies, and supporting clinical product evaluations and trials to maintain strong clinical engagement and market leadership.


Responsibilities
 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales targets for the IV cannula portfolio.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across hospitals, surgical centers, and clinics to broaden the customer base.
  • Lead and manage a team of three sales professionals to maximize performance and achieve collective goals.
  • Manage tender processes and institutional sales, particularly focusing on the public and private healthcare sectors.
  • Conduct engaging product presentations and demonstrations to doctors, nurses, and procurement teams to highlight the benefits and features of IV cannulas.
  • Educate healthcare professionals about product specifications including gauge sizes, safety features, and flow rates to support clinical decisions.
  • Support clinical product evaluations, pilot trials, and ensure feedback is incorporated to improve product adoption and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in procurement departments, nursing staff, and intensive care and emergency units to ensure high retention rates.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and competitive tender documentation and proposals to secure institutional contracts.
  • Coordinate pricing strategies tailored to various institutions to ensure competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
  • Monitor competitor pricing, product positioning, and promotional activities to inform strategic planning.
  • Collect and analyze market intelligence to identify trends, customer needs, and recommend strategies to increase ASTO Life Sciences’ market share.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, clinical support, and product development to align sales efforts with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies during all sales and business development activities.
  • Regularly report sales performance, market developments, and competitor activities to senior management to guide decision making.
