In addition to managing export operations, the Assistant Manager will lead a small team of two individuals, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient execution of export activities. The role requires proficiency in preparing and verifying critical export documents such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and health certificates. The successful candidate will skillfully track shipments and quickly resolve any export-related issues that arise. A graduate or post-graduate degree in Commerce, Logistics, International Business, or a related field is required, alongside hands-on experience with export-related systems and proficient use of MS Office applications. Responsibilities
 

  • Manage the complete export documentation process independently, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Execute export operations through the Export Filing System (EFS), including filing, monitoring, and compliance adherence.
  • Coordinate effectively with customs house agents, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and overseas clients to streamline shipment processes.
  • Ensure strict compliance with export regulations including DGFT rules, customs mandates, and food safety certifications relevant to the export industry.
  • Prepare, verify, and oversee critical export documents such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and health certificates.
  • Track shipments in real-time and promptly resolve any issues affecting export timelines or compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, and logistics departments to ensure that shipments are prepared and dispatched according to schedule.
  • Maintain comprehensive and well-organized export records and management information system (MIS) reports for monitoring and audit purposes.
  • Lead and manage a team of two export staff members, providing training, supervision, and performance feedback to enhance team productivity and consistency.
  • Apply hands-on working knowledge of EFS and other export-related software tools to optimize export processes and reporting.
  • Stay updated on international trade procedures, customs regulations, and certification requirements to ensure continual compliance and operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement process improvements in export operations to increase efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
