DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Oval is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer who brings expert hands-on experience with modern cloud infrastructure and deployment tools. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable and reliable infrastructure to support continuous integration and continuous deployment workflows. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong command over OVHcloud services, Docker containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, Jenkins automation, and Traefik for efficient traffic management. This position demands an individual contributor capable of managing and automating deployment pipelines within cloud environments, ensuring seamless delivery of software and infrastructure updates. The successful candidate will work closely with development and operations teams to design and implement automated processes that improve deployment speed and stability. Responsibilities include creating and managing containerized environments, orchestrating with Kubernetes clusters, and establishing robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins. The DevOps Engineer at Oval is expected to ensure the infrastructures reliability, scalability, and security without direct team management duties, enabling the company to deliver continuous value to its clients through efficient deployment frameworks and cloud infrastructure mastery.
Responsibilities
 

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on OVHcloud.
• Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker, Docker Compose, and Docker Swarm.
• Build and operate Kubernetes clusters to orchestrate container workloads efficiently.
• Create, optimize, and oversee continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins.
• Automate deployment workflows to ensure fast, reliable, and repeatable software releases.
• Configure and manage Traefik as a dynamic reverse proxy and load balancer for application traffic.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate infrastructure and deployment best practices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure, container platforms, and CI/CD pipelines to maintain high availability.
• Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and deployment processes for knowledge sharing and compliance.
• Ensure security and compliance standards are applied within cloud environments and pipelines.
• Continuously evaluate, select, and implement new tools and technologies to improve deployment efficiency and system reliability.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis related to infrastructure and deployment issues.
