Optimal Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated Front Desk Patient Scheduler to join our team and provide exceptional support in managing patient appointments and communications. This role requires a professional (with bachelor's degree) who can efficiently handle appointment scheduling through phone and in-person interactions, maintain accurate records using electronic health systems, and communicate effectively with patients and medical staff. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of medical terminology, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment. They will also be responsible for training and guiding junior receptionists, ensuring seamless clinic operations. The Front Desk Patient Scheduler will support the supervisor/medical practitioners in performing quality audits and other operational tasks. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in time management, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication, facilitating positive interactions with patients and contributing to Optimal Medical Clinic's reputation for excellent patient care and service.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and manage patient appointments via phone and in-person, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, attendants, and medical staff to provide clear information and assistance.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date electronic and physical records related to patient appointments and reception activities.
  • Assist patients and visitors with telephonic and walk-in inquiries promptly and courteously.
  • Train, supervise, and support the junior receptionist during their probation period to ensure high-quality performance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and medical practitioners to assist in quality audits and administrative tasks.
  • Manage appointment scheduling systems to maximize clinic efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate strong command of medical terminology to accurately document and communicate patient details.
  • Handle multiple functions simultaneously while maintaining composure under work pressure.
  • Develop and maintain good public relations and interpersonal skills to foster positive patient experiences.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to appointment scheduling and patient communication using effective problem-solving techniques.
  • Perform any additional assignments or tasks delegated by supervisors or medical practitioners to support clinic operations.
