Role Description The Process Engineer will work on a contract basis in a remote capacity, supporting process design, optimization, and safety assessments for clients in chemical and related processing industries. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing process data, developing and reviewing process flow diagrams and P&IDs, performing calculations and simulations, and preparing technical reports and documentation. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and client stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support the implementation of process modifications. The Process Engineer may also contribute to technical training materials, case studies, and best-practice guidelines to support A & Zee’s training programs. This position requires disciplined self-management and clear communication in a remote consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in process engineering, including process design, optimization, and safety analysis.
• Proficiency with process simulation and modeling tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or similar software).
• Ability to interpret and develop engineering documentation such as PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and control strategies.
• Experience in chemical, oil and gas, or related processing industries, with familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration and client-facing work.
• Ability to work independently in a remote contract role, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Experience contributing to or delivering technical training and workshops is beneficial.
• Professional engineering licensure (or eligibility/interest in obtaining it) is an advantage.
