EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Manager for its Product & Strategy division. This role focuses on overseeing product lifecycle management and ensuring strict compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate possesses technical expertise in compliance and documentation, with practical experience handling trust deeds and offering documents related to voluntary pension funds. The position primarily caters to professionals from Mutual Fund or Asset Management Company backgrounds, though candidates from the banking sector with relevant compliance experience will also be considered. A minimum of two years of professional experience in compliance functions is essential for effective performance in this role. The candidate will operate independently without managing a team, driving product compliance and strategy support within the organization.

Responsibilities

 

• Manage the entire product lifecycle, ensuring all stages align with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate documentation including trust deeds, offering documents, and other compliance materials.
• Ensure all products comply with legal and regulatory requirements related to voluntary pension funds and mutual fund offerings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and strategic initiatives that enhance market offerings.
• Monitor updates in compliance regulations and implement necessary changes to company documentation and procedures promptly.
• Conduct thorough compliance checks and audits on product documentation and internal processes to minimize risk exposure.
• Support senior management in strategic decision-making by providing compliance-related insights and risk assessments.
• Maintain effective communication with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required reports and documentation.
• Implement best practices in product strategy and compliance processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Provide training and guidance on compliance matters to internal teams to strengthen understanding of regulatory obligations.
• Track industry trends and regulatory changes within the mutual fund and pension sectors to anticipate and prepare for compliance impact.
• Assist in the review of new product proposals to assess compliance risks before launch.
• Maintain confidential management of sensitive financial and regulatory information in accordance with company policies.
