Job Description

The Assistant Manager Infrastructure at Poverty Eradication Initiative (PEI) is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's network and server infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity and high performance. This role focuses on maintaining physical and virtual servers, managing hardware devices, and enforcing security protocols to safeguard IT assets. With a strong emphasis on network administration, cloud computing, and disaster recovery planning, the Assistant Manager handles troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency. The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience and does not include team management responsibilities. The successful candidate plays a critical role in supporting PEIs mission by ensuring robust IT infrastructure that supports day-to-day activities and long-term initiatives. This position demands meticulous attention to detail for maintaining detailed documentation of network setups, hardware inventories, and user support workflows. The Assistant Manager also continuously monitors server performance and implements timely updates, while proactively managing hardware procurement and maintenance. Security of network and hardware management is paramount, with regular assessments and the implementation of preventive measures to mitigate risks. This role requires a proactive professional committed to sustaining a secure and efficient technology environment.
Responsibilities
 

• Design and implement network infrastructure to provide seamless and reliable connectivity across the organization.
• Administer network operations by troubleshooting and promptly resolving network issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Manage the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of physical and virtual servers to maintain optimal performance.
• Monitor server performance metrics and execute necessary updates and security protocols to enhance system stability.
• Oversee procurement, deployment, and upkeep of hardware devices including desktops, laptops, printers, and related peripherals.
• Conduct routine hardware assessments to identify potential problems and schedule timely repairs or replacements.
• Implement and enforce comprehensive security measures for networks, servers, and hardware to protect organizational assets.
• Develop and maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, hardware inventories, and support procedures.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies to safeguard data and ensure rapid recovery of infrastructure after disruptions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to align infrastructure capabilities with organizational goals.
• Manage cloud computing resources to optimize performance and support scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Stay updated with emerging technology trends relevant to infrastructure management and recommend improvements as needed.
