Job Description

Lucky Cement Limited seeks a reliable and experienced Home-Based Cook to prepare hygienic and delicious meals that meet various dietary preferences. The Cook is responsible for managing daily cooking activities, ensuring the preparation of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks with attention to quality and taste. This role requires careful menu planning to accommodate different cuisines and dietary instructions while maintaining high standards of hygiene and kitchen cleanliness. The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years of experience in food preparation and is committed to providing nutritious and appetizing meals in a professional and timely manner. The Cook will also be responsible for managing grocery usage efficiently, monitoring kitchen inventory, and informing procurement needs to avoid food shortages or wastage. Adhering to safe food handling and storage procedures is essential to maintain food quality and health standards. Although the position does not involve managing a team, the Cook must independently uphold kitchen operations and ensure that all meals comply with special dietary requirements when necessary.
Responsibilities
 

  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks according to established menus and dietary preferences.
  • Cook a variety of cuisines with attention to flavor, presentation, and nutritional value.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen utensils, cooking equipment, and work areas.
  • Manage grocery usage effectively to minimize waste and maintain kitchen inventory.
  • Communicate kitchen supply needs promptly to ensure an uninterrupted cooking process.
  • Store food items properly following food safety standards to preserve freshness and prevent contamination.
  • Follow special dietary instructions carefully, including allergies or specific nutritional guidelines.
  • Maintain punctuality and professionalism in all aspects of kitchen work and meal preparation.
  • Adhere strictly to food handling and sanitation guidelines to ensure food safety at every stage.
  • Monitor and regulate portion sizes to control costs and reduce food wastage.
  • Keep accurate records of meal preparations, ingredient usage, and food inventories as needed.
  • Continuously update cooking knowledge and skills to incorporate new recipes and techniques.
