The role

We need an experienced Geology/Geo-tech Expert for a major power and energy project in Hyderabad, Pakistan. Responsibilities include geological and geotechnical assessments, supporting design, and ensuring thorough ground evaluation. Candidates should have relevant infrastructure or energy project experience and be able to work with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.

• Assist in conducting geological and geotechnical investigations for the project.
• Review soil, rock, and subsurface conditions and provide technical input to the design team.
• Support site assessments, field investigations, and data collection activities.
• Monitor geotechnical risks and provide recommendations for mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and geotechnical guidelines.
• Prepare technical reports and assist in documenting geological and geotechnical findings.

With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.

Suitable applicants will have/be:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in geological and geotechnical assessments, preferably in power, energy, or infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of geotechnical investigation methods, soil mechanics, and foundation design principles.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
