Job Description

RouteMax Dispatch is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated US Truck Dispatcher with expertise in load planning and route optimization to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will coordinate with carriers, brokers, and owner-operators to ensure the smooth and efficient transportation of freight across the United States. You will leverage your strong knowledge of the U.S. trucking industry along with hands-on experience using load boards such as DAT to source profitable loads that align with truck types, locations, and preferred lanes. This role demands excellent negotiation skills, a solid grasp of regulatory compliance, and the ability to manage multiple dispatch activities concurrently. As a US Truck Dispatcher at RouteMax Dispatch, you will also lead and mentor a team of two individuals, driving performance and enhancing operational workflows. Strong communication skills in English, professional interaction with U.S.-based brokers and clients, and proficiency in dispatch and transportation management systems are essential. You will manage critical documentation such as bills of lading, rate confirmations, proofs of delivery, and invoices to ensure compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) guidelines. This position requires working U.S. business hours and demands reliability, independence, and a customer-focused mindset to support business growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
 

• Source and book suitable freight loads using DAT and other load boards based on truck specifications, geographic location, lanes, and profitability.
• Coordinate communication between shippers, carriers, and brokers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of freight.
• Negotiate competitive rates and terms with brokers to maximize profitability while maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. trucking industry regulations and ensure all dispatch activities comply with FMCSA requirements.
• Manage and process necessary documentation, including bills of lading (BOLs), rate confirmations, proofs of delivery (PODs), and invoices.
• Lead and support a team of two dispatch professionals by providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Utilize transportation management systems and CRM platforms to organize dispatch assignments, track shipments, and maintain client records.
• Conduct outbound calls to prospect potential carrier clients, follow up on leads, and convert interested parties into active clients.
• Effectively manage multiple dispatch tasks and truck schedules to optimize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate across departments using Google Workspace or MS Office tools and communicate professionally via email and VoIP applications such as WhatsApp.
• Maintain high levels of professionalism, self-motivation, and reliability while working independently with limited supervision.
• Adapt to the demands of U.S. business hours and relevant time zones to ensure continuous communication and support.
