Position Overview:
Business Development/Sales Development Specialist will focus on identifying, qualifying, and developing business opportunities within the US Government and Public Sector. This role requires expertise in government contracting, procurement processes, and proposal writing to drive growth and build strategic relationships.
Responsibilities
Identify and pursue opportunities with US Government contractors and public sector entities.
Navigate US public sector procurement processes, including RFPs (Request for Proposals), RFIs (Request for Information), and RFQs (Request for Quotations).
Build and maintain relationships with US Government officials to facilitate business development initiatives.
Develop compelling proposals tailored to meet government requirements, ensuring compliance with contract specifications.
Create and execute strategies for expanding the company’s presence in the US public sector market.
Research and identify potential clients within the US Government and public sector.
Work closely with stake holders to align efforts with business goals.
Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and achievements to management.
Requirements
Proven experience in roles such as US Government Contracts Specialist or Public Sector Business Development.
Strong understanding of government procurement processes (RFP, RFI, RFQ).
Expertise in proposal writing and responding to government solicitations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Familiarity with CRM tools to manage leads and track progress.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
This role is ideal for candidates who have a deep understanding of US Government contracting and public sector procurement processes, combined with strong business development skills.
