About the Role:

At Glotte, we seek a knowledgeable and insightful individual with a strong academic background in Islamic Studies and a deep engagement with contemporary thought. The ideal candidate will possess a firm grounding in traditional Islamic scholarship while demonstrating an ability to engage critically with modern intellectual currents, global discourse, and sociocultural issues affecting the Muslim world today.

Key Responsibilities:

● Conduct research and develop materials related to Islamic Studies and contemporary issues.

● Contribute to discussions and publications exploring the intersection of classical Islamic thought and modern ideologies.

● Engage in collaborative projects, workshops, or think tank initiatives as needed.

● Offer insight and analysis on contemporary debates within Islamic intellectual circles.

Qualifications:

● A degree in Islamic Studies (B.A., M.A., or Ph.D. preferred) from a recognized institution.
● Familiarity with classical texts and methodologies in Islamic thought.

● Demonstrated understanding of modern philosophical, political, and social theories.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

● Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.

Preferred Attributes:

● Experience in interfaith or cross-cultural engagement.

● A portfolio of publications or lectures.

● Proficiency in Arabic or other relevant languages is an asset.
