Mechanical Engineer (Calibration Specialist)

Job Description

Rqc Engineering is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in Calibration Services for industrial equipment and instruments. The ideal candidate has at least five years of relevant experience and possesses strong expertise in calibration procedures, metrology, instrument calibration, and operation of coordinate measuring machines. This role focuses on ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and precision in the measurement and calibration of mechanical components and systems. The candidate will work independently without direct team management responsibilities but will collaborate closely with various departments to maintain equipment functionality and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
 

• Perform precise calibration of industrial mechanical equipment and instruments according to established procedures and industry standards.
• Operate and maintain coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to assess dimensional accuracy and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Develop, document, and implement calibration procedures to improve measurement accuracy and reliability.
• Utilize metrology principles and tools to verify and analyze the mechanical properties and performance of devices requiring calibration.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of calibration equipment to uphold measurement integrity and traceability.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot calibration issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of calibration activities, results, and equipment status for audit and reporting purposes.
• Ensure all calibration work complies with internal and external quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Stay informed of advancements in calibration technology and industry best practices to continually enhance calibration processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize calibration techniques and workflows.
